| Town again performed creditably well against their well fancied opponents . Town dominated the opening 15 minutes during which time we had created three great chances to score. However the pattern of the season continued failed chances cost us dearly as the home side took the lead .
Town stuck at their task moving the ball really well,Lee Court led the line superbly again, Shaun Clarke probed from midfiled while Chris Walker and Jason Newall were outstanding at the back . Town deservedly equalised with a cross that was met by Danny Hanafin but probably came off the defender . From this stage we again created chance after chance but then on 77 mins a break down the left found Town's defence out of position and the resulting cross was converted 2-1 . Only four minutes later Town lost posswssion in their own half and wwere punished on 81 minutes when Clarke finished well 3-1.An undeserved scoreline which people will read a lot into ,however Stuart and Martin are working hard to resolve the striker situation and hopefully at least two new faces could arrive before the weekend. |
