| Overall an average performance from a very depleted Town team against a well organised Consett eleven. They scored twice within 2 minutes early in the first half, however this was not a true reflection on first half proceedings where Town equalled their County Durham counterparts, Chillingsworth and Charlton both having good opportunities to pull a goal back. Second half also saw many chances for both teams, however Consett made it three on the hour with a well worked third goal. David Cooke had a good appeal for handball turned down late on. Overall Town were unlucky not to score but Consett deserved the three point, final score Northallerton 0 Consett 3. |
