| They say in this game you make your own luck and today's referee obviously had not heard the saying. He allowed the home side to employ bullyboy tactics and force themselves into a 2-0 half time lead. The mud heap of a pitch did not help but the players attitude must be applauded as they came out fighting in the second half, Town were denied blatant penalties on two occasions. Town got a goal from Anth Hume in a goalmouth scramble on 75 mins. Town pushed hard from this point and the ref's conscience got the better of him when Danny Earl was hacked down in the box. Stuart Dixon stepped up to cooly slot home the spot kick 2-2. I moaned a bucket full after the WAC game but I now give the lads credit for this gutsy show. |
