Bedlington Terriers 2 Northallerton Town 2 |

| A game of two halves today at Bedlington, and a very dramatic ending. Town went two nil down thanks to some suspect defending, and looked dead and buried at half time. However second half we came out a second time. Hume scoring with 15 minutes left after prodding home from a goalmouth scramble. Then the drama. There was anger amongst the few Town fans when Earl was batantly felled in the box but the ref didn't point to the spot. However two minutes later he was felled again when he was about to shoot, and this time the ref saw it. Stuart Dixon took the ball, and dispatched the penalty very calmly. The team showed excellent spirit to get themselves out of the deep hole they had dug for themselves, and played well in the second half on a pitch that more resembled a ploughed field. An excellent result from 2-0 down, and pulls us out of the drop-zone. Billy Town are next, and anything from that game would be a big help.
Team: Wolfe, Barker, Bettson, Payne Harvey, Earl, Allen, Dixon, Desilva, Court, Hume. Subs: Gustavson, Durance, George, Toman, Del. |
