| Town redeemed themselves with a valuable win at West Allotment. Town fielded new signings John Barker, a defender who has been playing at Fort Lauderdale University, and Davey Cooke returned and made a goal and scored one, Anthony Hume's brace sealed an important victory. Town took the lead with 15 minutes from a Cooke corner (0-1). However the lead was shortlived when keeper Norton took a free kick outside the box into the teeth of a strong wind, the ball fell to an opposing player who struck the ball straight past him for the equaliser (1-1). The home side then had a man sent off and Town took full advantage as Andy Toman changed the formation, pushing an extra man up front. Anthony Hume obliged with two goals for a superb three points (FT 1-3). On the down side, James Harmsworth has serious concussion and may be detained in hospital overnight. |
