| Town progressed to the next round with a solid win over their NCE opponents with 2 second half goals from Paul Hinton and one from Craig Toman. Town were all at sea during the first half hour and really struggled to put create anything that caused a threat. However the last 15 minutes of the half were a different game as Town, mainly through Danny Earl, caused all sorts of problems to the visitors defence (HT 0-0). Toman read the riot act at half time and Town came out all fired up as his lads took charge of the game. The goals were no more than they deserved as their superior fitness showed through. A late consolation goal kept Town's defence, well marshalled by Harmsworth, on their toes. |
