Durham City 3 Northallerton Town 0 |
| Arngrove Northern League Division 1 |
| Tuesday 11 September 2007 |
|
| 11 away supporters were privy to a routine win by the league leaders, a good night for football. Slowly but surely. judging by the last two performances our squad/team is getting used to each other, there's shoots of recovery trying to burst through. This was by no means a bad performance by Town, and even allowing for City's dominance in possession, the scoreline slightly flattered them. Town weren't great but you couldn't fault the committment by any of the lads, the 3 goals came from 3 individual moments of lack in concentration, perhaps more experience will cut these out. The first goal, the keeper dropped through his legs, 2nd a cross and a header 6 yards out, 3rd a snapshot from the edge of the box. It was clear that Durham's movement, first touch, and passing was far superior, however you cannot fault the lads for effort and if we keep up the committment we will be OK. |
