| Andy Toman's men got back to winning ways with this victory, a solid rather than spectacular performance at the Regency Stadium. Town started with four new faces, Dave Hill and James Harmson looked solid at the heart of Town's defence, Martin Barwick and Shaun Wood were the other debutants. The first half was dominated by midfield play, both sides guilty of missing the final pass. The second half was dominated by Town's positive work all round the field, Chris Walker leading by example with his all-out effort. Town were rewarded for their determination on 58 minutes when new boy Shaun Wood struck an 18-yard drive which took a deflection past the keeper (1-0). Town consolidated and restricted the visitors to few chances, we did come under pressure for the final 10 minutes as CLS pushed hard for the equaliser but Town deservedly won the points. |
