| Andy Toman rang the changes today in an effort to sharpen things up, Town played three up front with Hinton, Luke Bythway and Danny Earl in the striking positions, making his debut in goal was Jack Norton. Town, as in previous games, dominated the early stages and for the third game in a row took the lead and lost the match. On 13 minutes, Danny Earl made a devasting run down the right into the box and drilled in a low cross which the onrushing defender put into his own net (1-0). Town again were unable to take advantage of the early lead and always looked like conceding and did just that on 29 minutes when the defence failed to clear their lines and the ball fell to Bishops Gavin Parkin who made no mistake fron 8 yards out (1-1). Town had good chances on 30 & 36 mins when headers were put over the bar from close range (HT 1-1). The second half gave no relief to Town's fans as Bishops played the long ball and former Town favourite Dane Wilson causing problems for our defence. Bishops took the lead on 58 mins and Town never really looked like pulling level, though Earl and Hume both had good chances to score. The performance certainly would only just deserve a point but 3 points was always out of the question. Town entertain Seaham on Monday and need a win to lift spirits. |
