| 'A win's a win' as they say in football, and this was important to boost the confidence of the players and supporters at the Calvert Stadium. The 63 that turned up for the Northern League Cup first round would have been slightly bored with a nothing first half, although Town were the better side. A goal from Diamond and then a last minute 2nd from Waller saw Town nicely into the next round of the Northern League Cup. Guisborough hit the bar twice but Town had several chances to make the scoreline even more convincing. Only one sub again (Curry) from the manager, which again is a suprise, but overall a good result and a reasonable performance. |
