| Town had a full squad to choose from, however this made little difference to the result. We were 2-0 down in ten minutes but managed a Chillingsworth goal to get back into it on 15 minutes (2-1). Then followed two disastrous errors as two back passes to the keeper ended up in goals being scored in less than two minutes, Barford failed to clear his kick and Crossman sold him short on another pass when the ball was intercepted (HT 4-1). Town never looked like pulling anything back and conceded two more goals before the final whistle. John Ryan was red carded for kicking out at an opponent having already been awarded a free kick which could result in another three match ban. Wednesday night's game at Bishop Auckland now takes on mammoth proportions, you can get beat by teams well above you but as we learned last season we cannot afford to lose against teams in the mire with us. |
