MATCH REPORT
Northallerton Town 1 - 5 Dunston Federation
Brookes Mileson Memorial Trophy
Wednesday 11 February 2009
Town were dumped out of the League Cup with a Jekyll & Hyde performance. Having taken the lead on 4 minutes when Chillingworh converted a pass by McNicol, Town continued to play well. Dunston pulled level with a good equaliser however Town held their own right up to half time (1-1).

Dunston took the lead just after the break (1-2) but Town still were in with a shout battling away on what was fast becoming a difficult surface. Unfortunately Jody Barfod lost his footing on the icy surface when taking a cross dropping the ball at the feet of the striker (1-3). It was from here on in that Town lost the plot conceding two more goals for a final score of 1-5.

It is fair to say Dunston were the better side, their movement, touch and passing were far better than Town's and it should also be remembered that Town had five players missing from the recent games due to being cup-tied.
