Northallerton Town 1 - 1 B'ham Synthonia |
| STL Northern League Division 1 |
| Saturday 31 January 2009 |
|
| This much changed Town team showed the fighting spirit that has been missing during the season. Going a goal down
in the first half would have normally ended in a serious defeat ,but not this time.Town rallied superbly in the second half to equalise through John Ryan .They could have easily have won the game when shots were cleared off the line ,good saves by the keeper. Martyn Speight has been wheeling and dealing in the transfer market bringing in Marty O'riordan who had an excellent game, Tom Burke shone as he supported the strikers having three shots on target in the first half and worked his socks off in midfield. Jody Barford made a number of brilliant saves at important times and Carl Chillingsworth seems to at home with his captains role. The attitude is superb and today was a pleasure to watch, roll on Nissan on Wednesday weather permitting. |
