Want to be a Referee?
Referees perform a vital role in the game, and with the growth
in the popularity of football, particularly for women and children,
the demand for match officials is increasing. To meet the growing
demand, the North Riding County FA is committed to recruit and
retain more men and women referees and to support them throughout
their careers.
Anyone over the age of 14 can become a referee. All that is required
is a passion for the game and the successful completion of a
training course.
Basic training courses run regularly throughout the year and once
you have passed the course and completed an FA Safeguarding Children
Workshop you can begin to officiate in matches - and you'll receive
a free UMBRO referee kit!
For details of upcoming courses click
here.
Courses are also available for those who wish to gain Mini Soccer
Match Day Skills and those who just want to gain more knowledge of
the Laws of Association Football.
So can you meet the challenge? Come and join us and give it a go
- unless you try you'll never know!
If you are unsure which course would be best for you, please contact
